Harrell Health Sciences Library
The Harrell Health Sciences Library: Research and Learning Commons is part of Penn State University Libraries, among the top 10 North American research libraries as ranked by the Association of Research Libraries.
The George T. Harrell Health Sciences Library is central to the provision of biomedical information resources and expertise in support of the education, research, patient care, and community outreach missions of Penn State College of Medicine and Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
The library creates and sustains a stimulating learning environment for the students, staff, faculty, and patients by providing high quality services, facilities and information resources in all formats.
We offer print and electronic books, journals, and databases to meet your learning and research as well as clinical information databases that physicians use in their clinical practice.
The library is a 24 hour facility and was completely renovated in 2016 with new small study rooms for students to reserve, a One Button Studio for professional-level audio and video recording, and a technology sandbox for experimentation with emerging technologies such as virtual reality and 3D printing.
Library faculty are involved in the curriculum and are responsive to the information needs of medical students.
The Harrell Health Sciences Library is committed to:
- Equity of Access
- Diversity and Inclusion
- Ethics and Integrity
