Penn State College of Medicine’s NMR Facility was created in 2006 through financial support from the NIH shared instrumentation grant (S10 RR021172), the US Department of the Navy and the Pennsylvania Department of Health through the Tobacco Settlement Funds and Penn State College of Medicine.
Its mission remains to facilitate investigators to use multiple modern NMR applications, including structure elucidation of small molecules, triple resonance experiments of biomolecules, fragment-based drug discovery, metabolomic and tissue analyses.

Instrumentation and Services
The NMR instrumentation include a 500 MHz Ultra-shielded Magnet with Bruker Avance II console and a 600 MHz Ultra-Shield Magnet with Bruker Avance Neo console. The 600 MHz spectrometer is equipped with a cryoprobe and a SampleCase for automation.
