Jonathan Ploski, PhD
Associate Professor, Neuroscience and Experimental Therapeutics
Biography
Dr. Jonathan Ploski is an Associate Professor of Neuroscience at Penn State College of Medicine whose research program is focused on defining—and ultimately controlling—the molecular mechanisms that govern brain function and dysfunction. His work sits at the interface of systems neuroscience, gene regulation, and therapeutic engineering, with a long-standing track record of uncovering how experience-driven changes in neural circuits give rise to maladaptive behaviors relevant to neuropsychiatric disease. His laboratory is particularly recognized for its contributions to understanding stress-related circuitry and for advancing experimental strategies that move beyond correlative observations to establish causal, mechanistic insight.
