In the five-year Penn State MD/MBA program, students spend the first three years on coursework within the College of Medicine in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Students begin Smeal College of Business MBA coursework at the University Park campus in State College, Pennsylvania, in year four, before concluding with a combination of MD and MBA coursework at Smeal and clinical rotations in year five.

How to Apply

Students interested in the MD/MBA program must apply to both Penn State College of Medicine and the Penn State Smeal MBA Program separately, and must meet each program’s admissions requirements.

Students already enrolled in the MD program may apply to Smeal to enroll in the MD/MBA during their first three years of study.
