Prepare Research Proposals
At Penn State College of Medicine, dedicated employees assist investigators with the proposal submission process and the negotiation of contractual terms and conditions of awards.
The Office of Research Affairs is staffed with experts in pre- and post-award activities including budget and grant development, cost recovery, compliance and institutional reporting.
The office keeps apprised of emerging trends in compliance, grant preparation and contract review and communicates these developments to faculty, trainees and research administrators.
Research Affairs collaborates with other offices at the College of Medicine to provide leadership and education in research ethics. The office promotes the protection of human subject volunteers, the safety of research personnel, the humane treatment of research animals and the stewardship of research funds.
