Our Teams

Fostering an equitable and inclusive environment for students, faculty and staff throughout the College of Medicine takes a commitment beyond the staff of the office. These vice chairs, committee members and other teams support inclusion and belonging in their units and across the college.

OHACE Vice Chairs

OHACE Vice Chairs are an integral part of our extended staff who are committed to driving, developing and supporting inclusion, equity and belonging in their departments or business units. Get to know your OHACE Vice Chair and reach out to them should you need support or would like to get more involved.

Steering Committee

The steering committee plays a pivotal role in offering advice and direction on policies, procedures, programs, and strategies that affect the College’s culture. Members include staff, faculty, students, and community leaders, and are appointed based on interest, expertise, and role within the college and community. They meet the third Monday of each month.

GWIMS

The Group on Women in Medicine & Science advances the participation and inclusion of all women within academic medicine by addressing gender equity, recruitment and retention, awards and recognition, and career advancement. Our group strives to be inclusive of transgender, gender non-binary individuals, and male allies and works to support equity for all. Use the membership form to join.

Workgroup Leaders

Workgroups chairs and co-chairs guide and manage their teams towards shared goals. These appointed leaders set strategies and monitoring progress to meet team objectives.  Workgroups promote a more inclusive school and workplace by bringing together people with diversity of perspectives, expertise, and experiences to identify actionable and measurable goals.
