Biography
Dr. Anne T. Murphy is a licensed staff psychologist, board certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology in the Office of Professional Mental Health. In addition, Dr. Murphy is an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science who earned her PhD in counseling psychology from the Pennsylvania State University and completed a pre-doctoral internship at the University of Delaware. Dr. Murphy has worked as both a clinician and teacher in medical settings, and as such has a deep appreciation for the unique challenges professionals experience in healthcare settings as well as the importance of patient experience. Currently, Dr. Murphy works with residents, fellows, faculty, and physicians in the College of Medicine. She specializes in stress and anxiety management, prevention of burn-out, women’s health, neurodiversity, and couples therapy. Dr. Murphy is a mother of three young adults who enjoys music, art and walking her dog in the community.
