Radiology Chair's Message

Welcome to the Department of Radiology. Our academic department comprises nationally and internationally recognized diagnostic and interventional radiologists, as well as advanced practice providers, medical physicists, technologists and nurses, and a team of imaging scientists dedicated to providing high-quality subspecialty care, innovative diagnostic and therapeutic treatments, and cutting-edge imaging and artificial intelligence research.

We perform over 500,000 imaging examinations and procedures annually. We serve the patients of central Pennsylvania and referring regions. We collaborate with the Penn State Cancer, Neuroscience, and Heart and Vascular institutes, as well as other specialties within our academic health system.

Our subspecialty divisions include body imaging, cardiovascular imaging, thoracic imaging, musculoskeletal imaging, emergency imaging, pediatric imaging, neuroimaging, breast imaging, nuclear medicine, and interventional radiology.

Our residency and fellowship educational programs are committed to training future diagnostic and interventional radiologists in the latest interventional procedures, diagnostic modalities and theranostics. We also support a radiology technologist school as it takes a team to provide care to the patients who visit our department.
