Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation was established in 2010. Administrative offices are located at the Penn State Health Rehabilitation Hospital and at the Academic Support Building. Our clinicians see patients in Hershey, Hummelstown and Camp Hill at our outpatient clinic sites. Our inpatient facility in Hummelstown is a 76-bed licensed facility that is accredited by the Joint Commission and by CARF for adult and pediatric rehabilitation, stroke, spinal cord injury and brain injury.
The department has grown to include adult physiatrists, pediatric physiatrists, neuropsychologists, nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Recruitment is ongoing for both clinical and research faculty. The department offers a three-year, ACGME-accredited Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency Program that includes elective rotations at OSS and State College Sports Medicine. We also offer ACGME-accredited fellowships in brain injury and spinal cord injury.
