Why Penn State Health St. Joseph: I thrive in making health care accessible to the Spanish-speaking population and underserved communities, and Penn State Health St. Joseph demonstrated a true commitment to their community and the education of their resident physicians. Even through a virtual setting, the faculty's welcoming nature and desire to teach and support their residents' goals made St. Joseph an easy choice for a Family Medicine residency. I wanted to be a part of an unopposed program with a robust curriculum to have more direct access to patient care and become a confident physician and community leader.
Fun Fact: I find platelet donation very therapeutic.
Future Plans: Practice with both inpatient and outpatient medicine. Still open to all possibilities and opportunities!
