Emily Milarachi, MD

Dr. Emily Milarachi, originally from Baltimore, Md., received her undergraduate degree in linguistics and environmental biology from Washington University in St. Louis, followed by her medical degree at University of Maryland School of Medicine. During her medical training, she participated in an NIH T32-funded research year and earned a Master of Science in clinical investigation at Washington University in St. Louis. She is particularly interested in research exploring the language interface between speech production and hearing, and has enjoyed research in the realms of imaging technology, qualitative methods and now head and neck cancer genomics. Her hobbies include hiking, knitting, traveling, cooking with her husband and tending to her indoor garden.
