Our Teams
DEB Champions
Diversity, Equity and Belonging Champions are an integral part of our extended staff who are committed to driving, developing and supporting diversity, equity and belonging in their departments or business units. Get to know your DEB Champion and reach out to them should you need support or would like to get more involved.
Steering Committee
The steering committee plays a pivotal role in offering advice and direction on policies, procedures, programs, and strategies that affect the College’s culture. Members include staff, faculty, students, and community leaders, and are appointed based on interest, expertise, and role within the college and community. They meet the third Monday of each month.
Clerkship Allies
Clerkship Allies are appointed faculty dedicated to enhancing the MD and PA student experience. They are an independent source of support to an assigned cohort of students during their clerkship year. Allies also collaborate with Society Heads and Student Faculty Advisors to enhance retention and student success.
GWIMS
The Group on Women in Medicine & Science advances the participation and inclusion of all women within academic medicine by addressing gender equity, recruitment and retention, awards and recognition, and career advancement. Our group strives to be inclusive of transgender, gender non-binary individuals, and male allies and works to support equity for all. Use the membership form to join.
Workgroup Leaders
Workgroups chairs and co-chairs guide and manage their teams towards shared goals. These appointed leaders set strategies and monitoring progress to meet team objectives. Workgroups promote a more inclusive school and workplace by bringing together people with diversity of perspectives, expertise, and experiences to identify actionable and measurable goals.
