Physicians, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners
The Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine requires physicians to verify that they have met mandated continuing education requirements by earning AMA credit. Requirements include both AMA category 1 credit and AMA category 2 credit, including hours in patient safety/risk management. Specific information is available from the State Board of Medicine.
The programs we offer for physicians are approved for AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM. Refer to the specific program brochures for complete information on the credit(s) awarded.
Penn State College of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
