Kaiser Permanente Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (KP-MAPMG) Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship (LIC)

In Year 2, students may apply to participate in the Kaiser Permanente Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (KP-MAPMG) Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship (LIC).

In partnership with Penn State College of Medicine, the Kaiser Permanente Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (KP-MAPMG) Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship (LIC) provides a comprehensive, year-long education experience within an integrated healthcare delivery system serving a large, diverse patient population. As part of the LIC, students receive customized schedules, one-to-one clinical teaching, and focused comprehensive feedback as they explore their future career choices across core clerkships and a wide range of elective specialties.

  • Mentoring and individualized learning from a team of over 60 KP physician faculty from 20+ specialties.

  • Develop longitudinal relationships with individual patients.

  • Participate as a core part of the patient care team.

  • Customized learning activities such as Surgical Skills Training, OSCE Simulation Sessions, and Clinical Patient Actor Sessions.

  • Mid-Atlantic Permanente Scholars program provides a scholarship to each student to help with living expenses.
