I am working to unravel the synergistic roles of mitochondria and lysosomes in microglial senescence and aging, as mitochondria and lysosomes get progressively dysfunctional during aging. The ultimate goal is to decipher the signaling and metabolic pathways in order to design novel strategies to combat aging-associated neurodegeneration and pathologies.
