Biography

Holly joined the Office for Cancer Health Equity (OCHE) as a Manager of Community Engagement in August 2022. Her previous role was as Vice President of Community Education at Lebanon Family Health Services in Lebanon, Pennsylvania.

With over 25 years of experience working with schools and communities to improve health, education and alleviate disparities, Holly coordinated and implemented evidence-based health education programming for tobacco cessation, youth vaping cessation, diabetes prevention, nutrition, sexuality education and parenting education. Along with Domestic Violence Intervention of Lebanon County, Holly co-created and trained educators in a parenting curriculum called Be The One, which received the National 2022 Purple Ribbon Award for Outstanding Community Education. As a policy advocate, Holly has worked to strengthen tobacco and vaping policies for schools, businesses and community organizations, including encouraging municipalities to adopt a tobacco/vape-free playground initiative called Young Lungs at Play.

As a community-engaged professional, Holly has a decade of experience working with colleagues and community members building collaborations and partnerships to achieve collective impact. A graduate of Leadership Lebanon Valley, she has organized and implemented numerous community presentations, events, and health fairs in addition to chairing many committees. As a health educator and advocate, Holly has authored several community publications and managed social media platforms. In 2012 she was inducted into the Lebanon County Women’s Hall of Fame for health advocacy and awarded the “Health Advocate of the Year” by the Pennsylvania Health Access Network. In 2016 she received the “Dr. Allan Rosenfield Health Access Award” from the National Family Planning and Reproductive Health Association for her work in coordinating community outreach and enrollment into the Affordable Care Act Marketplace.
