As an undergraduate at Clemson University, I conducted research in a protein biochemistry lab focusing on DNA repair and replication mechanisms in the Mpox virus. I examined the interactions and activities of the proteins involved to define their roles within the mechanisms and to ultimately reveal potential drug targets.
