Dr. Cortez is a postdoctoral scholar mentored by both Dr. Wesley Raup-Konsavage and Dr. Kent Vrana. His work primarily focuses on the transcriptional regulation of the human cannabinoid receptor type 1 gene (CNR1) promoter, and the antinociceptive properties of minor cannabinoids in chemotherapy-induced peripherical neuropathy.
