Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Trainings

One in five adults and one in six youth in the United States live with mental health challenges.

The Mental Health First Aid course will allow you to understand and identify signs and symptoms of mental health challenges and help people get connected with resources and care.

Program Overview

Two types of free training are offered:

  • Youth Mental Health First Aid

    • Teaches adults how to support youth.

  • Adult Mental Health First Aid

    • Teaches adults how to support other adults.

What you will learn:

  • Common signs and symptoms of mental health challenges.

  • How to interact with a person in crisis.

  • How to connect a person with help.

Trainings are done virtually, and anyone can sign up (i.e. individuals, organizations, etc.).

  • Percent of People with Increased Knowledge in Mental Health: 80%

  • People Referred for Mental Health Services: 3,579
