Mission Statement
AWIS is a national advocacy organization championing the interests of women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics across all disciplines and employment sectors. By breaking down barriers and creating opportunities, AWIS strives to ensure that women in these fields can achieve their full potential. The purpose of the AWIS-Hershey chapter shall be to increase the number of women obtaining their degrees in science and technology at all levels; to address concerns of career women on campus, to increase the number of women participating in the scientific and technological workforce at all levels; to raise public awareness of the scientific and technological skills and contributions of women; and to work with other scientific, educational, and women's organizations in developing national and community programs that meet the above goals. Anyone with interests in above mentioned goals is welcome to join.
