Sean Young

Chief Marketing Officer

Sean Young is the Chief Marketing Officer for Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Penn State College of Medicine. In this role he oversees all strategic marketing and communications functions for the organization's 551-bed teaching hospital, Penn State Children's Hospital, Penn State Cancer Institute and the multi-specialty group practice, Penn State Medical Group. His administrative responsibilities also include oversight of graphic design, printing services, video and photography services.

Mr. Young joined Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Penn State College of Medicine in July 2001 as Director of Public Relations.

Prior to joining Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Mr. Young served as Broadcast Communications Coordinator for Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge from 1997 to 2001. In this capacity, he was responsible for planning and executing public events, coordinating media coverage and promotional campaigns related to public policy issues, and evaluating advertising bids and contracts for state agencies.

As an anchor, producer and program host for Lancaster-based NBC affiliate WGAL-TV, Mr. Young earned four Mid-Atlantic Emmy nominations and two Associated Press Awards for his on-air work. He has since earned a fifth Emmy-nomination for his work on Memories & Milestones, a documentary about the founding of Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.

Mr. Young is a graduate of Elizabethtown College and has received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the College's Department of Communications.
