Judy Himes, MSM, BSN, RN

Chief Nursing Officer

Judy has been with Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center as a director of nursing since 2005. She has more than two decades of senior nursing leadership experience at hospitals and health systems in our region, including the Lebanon VA Medical Center, where she served as associate chief of the nursing service for Acute Care/Specialty Services from 2003 to 2005.

Prior to that role, she was vice president for Patient Care Services and chief nursing officer at Pinnacle Health System from 1998 to 2002 and served as director of nursing operations at Pinnacle Health from 1996 to 1998.

While at Hershey Medical Center, Judy has built a reputation for collaboration among her nursing peers and with physicians and other members of the care team. She is known for her mentorship, coaching and professional development of staff nurses and nurse managers. Judy will provide strong leadership to the Department of Nursing and our senior leadership team until a new chief nursing officer is named.

Judy obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Penn State University and MSN from the University of Pittsburgh. Judy is an active member of the Penn State College of Nursing Advisory and Development Board.
